Fadi had planned on attending the NAAJA SPJ-Arab Journalism Conference in Jerusalem on Monday Dec. 3, 2007 at the Ambassador Hotel but he could not get clearance to cross the checkpoint to enter East Jerusalem (which was occupied in 1967 along with the rest of the West Bank).
