Pennsylvania considers beefing up lobbyist disclosure laws

Patriot-News columnist Dale Davenport writes about how the Pennsylvania Legislature is meeting to consider enacting a lobbyist disclosure law. Pennsylvania is the only state without some lobbyist reporting law.
"Legislators must report what they receive in gifts, travel and hospitality from lobbyists, but only above certain thresholds that exclude most wining and dining. Anything of value a legislator receives ought to be a matter of public record," Davenport wrote.
