Study: Minnesota ranks dead last for online disclosure of state contracts
A national study by Good Jobs First found that Minnesota is the worst state in the country for providing information about government contracts online. The study results won't be released by
Good Jobs First until November, but the organization
Growth and Justice in Minnesota issued a press release (soon to be posted on its
Web site) focusing on Minnesota. According to the press release, every state except Minnesota has some form of online disclosure on contracting. However, under a new state law, Minnesota will create a publicly available, searchable database on state contracts and grants valued over $25,000.
