Market Update: Changes at Better Homes & Gardens
This profile of BG&H new editor-in-chief Gayle Butler
indicates that she is ready to refresh the magazine. Not pegged to any
age group, BG&H has been successful at launching a brand and many
spinoff pubs, but Butler seems focused on improving the title property
at its Web site.
Planned changes for the 84-year-old
publication will include shorter stories, more helpful information on
how to complete projects and recipes, and more photography showing how
to do these things, Butler said. She said readers will begin seeing
differences with the November issue.FYI: Better Homes and
Gardens is the third-largest monthly magazine in the United States,
behind AARP The Magazine and Reader's Digest.
In case you missed the post below, BG&H is one of the publications that pays $1/word or more.
