About those international links...

A story that got very little coverage -- as is zero -- from the mainstream media was a report that when the governemnt of Pakistan went off on a tear against YouTube, their efforts ended up affecting the entire YouTube system for about three hours.

Yes, that means that the the censorship efforts of one country denied the world access to a popular website.

Techies said the glitch was a one-off situation and could not be repeated. But then again they also said blocking a site in one country should not affect other countries.

So before anyone says what happens in another country hardly affects us, ask your YouTube junkie friends who denied access because of the paranoid feelings of a less than tolerant government.
