The prosecutors in the BALCO case have demanded two San Francisco Chronicle reporters turn over their sources or go to prison for 18 months. The SF Chronicle has the latest details.
The Wall Street Journal has a piece looking at possible efforts in Congress to pass a Shield Law. In 2005, SPJ got behind this effort and raised $30,000 for the fight. SPJ has backed Josh Wolf, the jailed freelance journalist in the WSJ story, and provided amicus support to the two Chronicle reporters.
