Grambling Case Attracts a Lot of Attention

The controversy over the student newspaper at Grambling State University in Louisiana has attracted a lot of attention from newspapers and journalism groups.

Richard Prince, in his "Journal-Isms" column published on the Maynard Institute web site, reports that the student newspaper did not publish as planned on Friday because the faculty adviser who is supposed to edit all copy did not have time to finish the job.

Black College Wire published this statement.

The Times of Shreveport had an editorial that criticized the university administration.

The College Media Advisers condemned the school's action.

And Inside Higher Ed had an article about the whole mess.
