LDF to back Carlos Miller
Late Tuesday, SPJ's LDF committee agreed to give $1,000 to a Miami photographer who arrested while taking pictures on a public street of police interviewing people in accident. Carlos Miller is an independent journalist working on a piece about how a notorious Miami street was going though some changes. I talked to him Tuesday, he has had seven of the nine charges dropped and is due back in court March 14. The South Florida chapter has been assisting Miller in addition to national SPJ.
