Shield law opposition ridiculous

So why legislate it in the first place? As soon as we let the federal government get its hands on this issue, we've surrendered the free flow of information.

More importantly, I take exception to the implication that I am "ridiculous" and "silly" for opposing a federal shield law. I prefer to rely on the Constitution: "Congress shall make no law ... abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press..."
