Lynn Walsh

Bio (click to expand) picture Lynn Walsh is an Investigative Producer for WPTV in West Palm Beach, Florida. Previously she worked as an Investigative Journalist for Texas Watchdog, a non-profit online journalism organization in Houston, Texas. She is a graduate of Ohio University’s E.W. Scripps School of Journalism. Lynn began her career as a reporter for The Government Channel in Athens, Ohio were she covered city and county issues for the citizens and students living in Athens County. Lynn also served www.thepalestra.net as a general assignment reporter focusing on anything from sporting events to the 2008 general election.

Lynn has appeared on Fox News Channel’s “Fox and Friends,” and has had her work published in a variety of print publications. Ms. Walsh has also put time in at several other media organizations including WSYX/WTTE in Columbus, OH, WRGT/WKEF in Dayton, Ohio, WMAR in Baltimore, and “The Today Show” in New York City.

Lynn has been recognized for her work as a journalist by receiving many awards including the Richard O. Linke Award and the Ohio Broadcasters Foundation Award and being selected as a Knight Digital Media Center Fellow. Lynn is very active in the Ohio University community, working closely with the Ohio University Alumni Association. Lynn also is a member of Radio Television Digital News Association, SPJ and IRE. She is obsessed with news, social media and pop culture and loves spending time with family and friends.

Claudia Amezcua
Bio (click to expand) picture Claudia Amezcua is an Award Winning Freelance Multiplatform Journalist and Production Assistant based out of Los Angeles, CA with experience in Radio, Television and the internet. She is a graduate of California State University, Fullerton with a Bachelors in Communications, Amezcua is currently working on an Associates of Arts in On Air Radio Broadcasting at Mt. San Antonio College. Her previous jobs include reporting, anchoring, and DJ at 90.1 KSAK Walnut, where her award winning story Renaissance Fair Open won numerous professional awards most notably RTDNA 2010 Edward R. Murrow award for “Best Use of Sound”. During her undergrad, Claudia gained much experience through internships with The Fox News Channel, CNN and KTLA.

Currently, Ms. Amezcua works as a freelancer for CNN and the founder of A Chicks Guide to Sports, a blog geared to help women become better acquainted with the world of sports. Claudia is also a member of the National Association of Hispanic Journalists and SPJ. In her free time Claudia enjoys traveling, photography and cheering on her favorite sports teams.


Mike Brannen
Bio (click to expand) picture Mike Brannen is a morning newscast producer for KIRO7, the CBS affiliate in Seattle. He recently received a Master’s Degree from the University of Missouri-Columbia and completed his thesis, Motivational Use of Twitter. He previously worked multiple positions at KOMU-TV in Columbia, Missouri during the past four years.

Ryan Broussard
Bio (click to expand) picture Ryan Broussard graduated from The University of Louisiana at Lafayette with a bachelor’s degree in Mass Communication with a concentration in Journalism, and is currently working at The Baton Rouge Advocate as a News Intern.

Previously he was freelancing for The Opelousas Daily World, where he covered high school sports, and although he is a print journalist by trade, he teaches a radio production lab at UL Lafayette and has done some stories for the local NPR affiliate. He has also covered medicine, business and written features on a freelance basis for local publications in Lafayette, La.


Jackie Ingles
Bio (click to expand) picture Jacqueline Ingles is a multimedia journalist for WFTS-TV, the ABC affiliate in Tampa, Florida. She specializes in crime and courts in Pinellas County. She writes, shoots, edits, and fronts her own work while also doing all of her own web work. Prior to WFTS, Jacqueline worked for almost three years at KXAN in Austin, Texas, as a one-woman-band MPJ. While in Texas, she covered the devastating drought and wildfires. Jacqueline's work appeared numerous times on CNN during her time in Austin. Jacqueline also worked at WCTV's Valdosta, Georgia, bureau and at MTV News as a political correspondent during President Barack Obama's campaign. A native of Chicago, Jacqueline received a masters in broadcast journalism from the Medill School of Journalism at Northwestern University. She also graduated Summa Cum Laude from Loyola University-Chicago. She held two internships at WBBM and WLS in Chicago. Her print journalism work been published in the Northwest Indiana Times, Chicago Syndicate, Beep!, and the New Mexico Free Press.

Patrick Kane
Bio (click to expand) picture Nikons in hand, Pat Kane covers the stories of the Tri-Cities of Virginia for The Progress-Index of Petersburg. As multimedia editor, on a normal day he'll shoot, write and edit stories while contributing to the paper's social media accounts. Pat joined the Virginia Pro Chapter board in 2008 and he presently serves as chapter vice president. He chaired the 2011 Region 2 Spring Conference hosted in Norfolk, Virginia.

After growing up all over the globe as a Navy brat, Pat attended Virginia Commonwealth University. He led a team at The Commonwealth Times to a first place Mark of Excellence Award for breaking news in 2007.


Victoria Reitano

Bio (click to expand) picture Victoria Reitano is a Digital Producer at Live! with Kelly. She works at ABC in New York and is so happy to be reunited with her true love - Manhattan. In her spare time, she dabbles with her blog, The Giornalista Files, where she shares her ideas about being an early career lady journo with anyone who will listen. Reitano feels Yoga is the perfect compliment to her obsessive need to consume information on a constant basis and when she's not practicing that, she's cycling at one studio or another as spin is the perfect compliment to her Staten Island background — fist pump, anyone? Jennifer Nicole Sullivan

Bio (click to expand) picture Jennifer Nicole Sullivan is a copywriter at Real Simple magazine in New York City. She's also a fashion, arts and entertainment contributing writer for the weekly newsmagazine Newport Mercury in Newport, R.I.

As a former Newport Mercury staff writer, she reviewed theater throughout Rhode Island and interviewed numerous celebrities, musicians, designers and authors. She began her journalism career as a features reporter at the Corpus Christi Caller-Times daily newspaper in South Texas. Her work has appeared in Rhode Island Home & Design, Military Spouse, SO Rhode Island, Newport Patch, South County Independent and The Tusculum Review. Previous employment includes Mandalay Sports Entertainment in Los Angeles, Calif., and KXAN-TV in Austin, Texas.

For a two-year stint, Jennifer and her husband lived in Yokosuka, Japan, where she taught English to Japanese children and adults. The proud Dallas native graduated from The University of Texas at Austin with degrees in radio-TV-film and theater. She has a master’s degree in English from The University of Rhode Island and is an active member of Society of Professional Journalists.
