INDIANAPOLIS – A member of the SPJ board of directors will appear on a panel Oct. 19 to discuss the connection between public relations and supporting news media. The program is part of the Public Relations Society of America 2010 International Conference in Washington, D.C.
Bill McCloskey, an at-large director on SPJ’s board, will speak with other panelists for the session “Save the PR Industry: Support Traditional Media.” The program will explore the relationship between public relations and sustainable journalism. McCloskey, retired from a career with The Associated Press and media relations for AT&T, will be joined by USA Today Multimedia Producer Josh Hatch and Froogle PR President Sharon Geltner.
