Start the weekend right with SPJ Leads! Latest issue: Grab up our internship and more!

The Sigma Delta Chi Foundation was founded in 1961 to meet the philanthropic needs of the Society of Professional Journalists.

Through fellowships, internships, and support of SPJ and other journalism initiatives, SDX returns about $300,000 annually to the journalism community. Donations to the Foundation are tax deductible as a charitable contribution.

Your contributions make it possible for SDX to support the work of SPJ and to sponsor innovative programs and projects in journalism. Contributions help SDX and SPJ continue to provide national leadership in ethical journalism, freedom of information, diversity and professional development.

We invite you to join SDX in its work to improve and protect journalism. Your gift — large or small — can make a tremendous difference.

Making a Gift

Annual Giving
Please remember to give to SDX when you renew your SPJ membership. Your gift to the Foundation is tax deductible as a charitable contribution. SDX gifts from our members show that SPJ members care about promoting and protecting journalism. Every gift counts! Each gift helps!

Thanks to all who make giving to SDX part of their annual renewal!

Matching Gifts
You may be able to increase your support through your employer’s matching gift program. Ask your human resources office whether or not your company has a matching gift program.

Gift Recognition
All donors are recognized in SDX and SPJ publications. Donors who contribute at least $100 annually will receive an invitation to a special donor reception at SPJ’s Convention & National Journalism Conference.
