Work has previously appeared: Community Newspaper, Local/Regional Magazine, Local Radio, Online Newsmagazine, Newsletter, Web Log

I’m an award-winning freelance writer and editor driven by insatiable curiosity, a passion for storytelling and a love of clean copy that borders on the obsessive. (I’m also a fan of muckraking, wonkery, and keeping ‘em honest.)

After cutting my teeth as a reporter at the Bennington Banner in Southern Vermont, I moved to Portland, Oregon, where I’m a freelancer writing about storefront churches, sex workers and social innovation, among (many) other things. My work has appeared in numerous Portland publications, including Street Roots, Willamette Week, Portland Family Magazine, and the Portland Sentinel. I'm also a regular contributor to Dowser, a social change storytelling website set to launch in March 2010.

In addition to writing for a living, I also edit print and Web copy for news services, nonprofits, businesses and anyone in need of an eagle eye.
