Work has previously appeared: National Daily Newspaper, Daily Newspaper, Local/Regional Magazine, Trade Magazine, National Radio, Local Radio, Online Newsmagazine, Online Trade Magazine, Book Publishing

After 15 years in journalism – including 10 as a newsman with The Associated Press – I accepted a job teaching journalism at a rural Minnesota college. I continue to work as a freelance journalist and have recently written articles for the magazines Quill and Minnesota Law & Politics.
I have written about many topics, including politics, green energy and immigration. My book, The New Minnesotans: Stories of Immigrants and Refugees, which was based on my work for the AP, has become required reading at several colleges in Minnesota and the Midwest.
My newspaper reporting has appeared in The Washington Post, USA Today, The Star Tribune, The Chicago Tribune and many other publications.
