Bio (click to expand) As a staff reporter-turned-freelance journalist, Anna Pratt, who lives in Minneapolis, Minn., has ventured into garbage houses, spent the night in a homeless shelter and witnessed a fistfight in a church basement, all for various stories. Her byline has appeared in the Star Tribune, The Line, the Southwest Journal, the Minnesota Independent and several suburban and community papers, web publications and broadcast media in the Twin Cities. Pratt is active with the Society of Professional Journalists' freelance community and she serves as the treasurer for the award-winning Minnesota Pro Chapter of SPJ.

Stephanie Hainsfurther is the owner and publisher of albuquerqueARTS magazine. From a background in small business management, over 20 years she wrote, pitched and published more than 800 articles in regional and national magazines and newspapers, and in international trade journals in the fields of the arts, architecture, utilities and energy, the environment, healthcare, retail and commercial real estate. With Emily Esterson, she is author of Covering the Business Beat: Strategies for Publishing What You Write (Purdue University Press, August 2004). She was an associate editor at New Mexico Business Weekly, and editor of New Mexico Business Journal, a monthly magazine. Stephanie teaches writing to business people for Anderson Schools at the University of New Mexico, in their certificate program and for their private corporate clients, and has written business features for publications like the Albuquerque Journal and Small Business Review online. Stephanie is a professional gardening expert for Better Homes & Gardens Online Q&A. She also is the author of Pocket Gardening for Your Outdoor Living Spaces: Tips for creating the perfect garden in small places (Hobby House Press, 2004).
