Work has previously appeared: Community Newspaper, Local/Regional Magazine

My background includes feature, news and sports writing for a college newspaper, sports information department, community paper and local magazine. I also have two years of page design/ layout. While my published work leans heavily toward sports and fitness, it is by no means my only interest. I mesh particularly well with features and profiles, with an affinity for the loosened creative style and tone allowed. More than anything, I enjoy the thrill of the hunt. I'm more satisfied chasing a story, interviewing sources and checking facts. Is it nice to look back at a particularly well constructed story or sentence? Sure. I'm a little vain. But, I find the process more rewarding than the final product.
