Work has previously appeared: Trade Magazine, Newsletter, Book Publishing

I’m a former pharmaceutical/medicinal research chemist with an M.A. in journalism and extensive experience in medical and healthcare-related communications. My background includes education/training in biochemistry, physiology, anatomy, pharmacology, and other biomedical sciences. My writing includes magazine feature articles, press kits/press releases, newsletters, research reports and manuscripts of articles for medical journals, educational writing for general readers, on-site newswriting from medical conventions and meetings, and other biomedical and healthcare-related communications. I have been an editor at a number of medical and healthcare-related publications (e.g., associate editor of Hospital Formulary magazine; managing editor of the journal Neurology; editor-in-chief of Laboratory Management magazine [pathology and diagnostic medicine]; editor-in-chief of Natural Pharmacy magazine; senior editor of The Encyclopedia of Health), and have been the manuscript editor of more than 70 medical textbooks as well as general/trade books on health and science, as well as having edited hundreds of articles for various healthcare and medical journals.
As both a professionally trained bioscientist and professional journalist with extensive experience in news, feature and technical writing in clinical medicine and healthcare, and as someone who has worked with hundreds of physicians and other healthcare professionals, I can provide scientifically accurate, effective, and engaging writing to meet specific assignment/project needs.
