I’m a writer and multimedia journalist currently studying print and online media at the Northwestern University Medill School of Journalism. As of this year, I’m also pursuing a second major in Middle East Languages & Civilizations. Although writing is my strong suit, I’m interested in all forms of multimedia storytelling: video, audio and visual production. Medill forces its students to master a wide variety of storytelling formats, something I’ve come to embrace. Although I initially covered sports, I’ve expanded my focus to include different beats. As an intern for the Metro Times in Detroit and the Dearborn Press & Guide during the summer of 2010, I wrote stories and produced videos covering news, music and entertainment. I currently cover the Northwestern University administration for The Daily Northwestern.
