I’m primarily interested in doing business writing, beer writing, wine writing, and book reviews. I’m a member of the National Book Critics Circle. I write a regular column on beer for The Weekly Surge in Myrtle Beach, S.C. I have been features editor and business editor at The Sun News in Myrtle Beach, S.C. The Carolinas-related books I have reviewed are “A Lady of the High Hills” by Thomas Tisdale, “The Right Side of the River” by Roger Pinckney, and “Wading South” by Donald Millus. Popular novelists I’ve reviewed include Andy McNab and Stephen Hunter. In the history of ideas, I have reviewed “Fools, Martyrs, Traitors” by Lacey Baldwin Smith, “In the Beginning: A New Interpretation of Genesis” by Karen Armstrong, “Libertarianism: A Primer” by David Boaz, and others. I’ve also written book-related essays. Most of my writing is archived at NewsLibrary.com.
