A University of Georgia graduate in Journalism, I have been a freelance journalist for The Atlanta Journal-Constitution since 2009. For the AJC, I cover government and community news, including a county commission, two boards of education and six city councils with publication online and in print. I also write Upcoming events for all of metro Atlanta that are printed Tuesdays through Saturdays. For eight years also in metro Atlanta, I was an editor for a weekly newspaper and a Lifestyle, Religion and Food editor for a daily newspaper. Afterwards for four years, I was the copy editor of In Touch, a Christian magazine with global distribution. I have edited many books, primarily for Christian authors and ministries. An author, I have written a book about my late father who served on the search team for Amelia Earhart and then in WWII as a U.S. Army sergeant from before the war to its end. My other book is a children's book about the friendship between two of our cats.
