I've been the film critic for the San Diego Union-Tribune since January 2010, contributing weekly reviews and regular feature stories. I majored in film as an undergraduate at Columbia University and treasure the opportunity to weigh in on the latest film releases at both the multiplex and the art house. I enjoy interviewing filmmakers, actors, festival directors and others who’ve handed their lives over to the filmmaking craft. Having worked in and around the film and TV business for more than 15 years, I bring a solid working knowledge of the industry to my coverage.

I also have ten years of experience as a communications professional, which means I can turn on the "corporate speak" when I have to. But who wants to do that when they can write about entertainment?
