Claudia Amezcua is an Award Winning Freelance Multiplatform Journalist and Production Assistant based out of Los Angeles, CA with experience in Radio, Television and the internet. She is a graduate of California State University, Fullerton with a Bachelors in Communications, Amezcua is currently working on an Associates of Arts in On Air Radio Broadcasting at Mt. San Antonio College. Her previous jobs include reporting, anchoring, and DJ at 90.1 KSAK Walnut, where her award winning story Renaissance Fair Open won numerous professional awards most notably RTDNA 2010 Edward R. Murrow award for “Best Use of Sound”. During her undergrad, Claudia gained much experience through internships with The Fox News Channel, CNN and KTLA. Currently, Ms. Amezcua works as a freelancer for CNN and the founder of A Chicks Guide to Sports, a blog geared to help women become better acquainted with the world of sports. Claudia is also a member of the National Association of Hispanic Journalists and SPJ. In her free time Claudia enjoys traveling, photography and cheering on her favorite sports teams.
