Work has previously appeared: Daily Newspaper, Local/Regional Magazine, Online Newsmagazine

I am a writer who likes to write with a touch of irony and humor whenever possible. If the story isn't entertaining, then I have failed. That's the way I operate, based on 10 years in print and online journalism at leading publications. I have covered politics, growth/development, the environment, schools, crime, health care, energy and breaking news. This includes long narrative stories that profile influential people, investigative pieces about current events and lighthearted, breezy features about the community. I particularly like stories that highlight a clash of culture or interesting anachronisms of our time, but really, I am confident I can handle anything that comes my way. I am also fluent in Spanish, a necessity in the Southwest. I have covered everything from crooked congressmen to local football heroes at two major daily newspapers, a major metro monthly, and online for the interwebs. I have dabbled in new media and taught online journalism at Arizona State University. I am self-taught in multimedia production and blogging platforms. For more information about me or my online endeavors, please visit my website. Thanks!
