Work has previously appeared: National Daily Newspaper, Daily Newspaper, National Magazine, Local/Regional Magazine, Trade Magazine, National Television, Online Newsmagazine, Newsletter

I am seasoned international journalist, with extensive experience as both an editor and a reporter. I recently joined the faculty of the University of Massachusetts-Amherst as an assistant professor, focusing on international journalism. I most recently worked as the Middle East Regional Editor for The Brief, a legal magazine published by Thomson Reuters. Prior to launching the magazine, I was the Islamic finance correspondent at Thomson Reuters, based in Dubai. I began my journey in the Middle East as an assistant professor of journalism at The American University in Cairo, teaching print and online journalism for undergraduate and graduate students. Before relocating overseas, I was a banking and legal reporter at at CNNMoney.com, covering the Supreme Court and the Enron trial. I was also a reporter at Dow Jones Newswires, where I had a daily column in the Wall Street Journal and appeared as a regular correspondent on CNBC Asia, covering the ADR market. I have a master's degree in journalism from Columbia Graduate School of Journalism and a bachelor's degree in speech communication from Pace University.
