Work has previously appeared: Magazines, Daily Newspaper, Web Log

An award-winning and versatile writer, I've freelanced for the Chicago Tribune, the University of Chicago Booth School of Business, and Northwestern University's Medill Magazine. I seek out stories that highlight human achievements and uncover new information, all with an objective reporter's lens. I'm eager to find new and interesting writing and editing opportunities. I have a master's degree from Northwestern University's Medill School of Journalism. A former newspaper reporter, I've covered stories of all types and feel comfortable being thrown into any situation. I am a thorough reporter. I'm reliable, meet deadlines, and write to the assigned length. As a reporter at the Wisconsin State Journal, I helped cover the historic labor protests in 2011, which earned our staff recognition as Pulitzer Prize finalists. I've also won first place awards for my feature writing, investigative reporting and coverage of higher education.
