Work has previously appeared: Daily Newspaper, Community Newspaper, Newsletter

I'm a freelance writer based out of the Tacoma area. Although I've lived here over a decade, I grew up in Seattle and maintaining strong ties, so I'm familiar with the community and issues there as well. I've written for both daily print as well as several community papers. Meeting deadlines is a must for me, as is accuracy and spelling. I enjoy interviewing and profiling people and learning about their dreams and passions as well. I think one of the benefits of journalism, aside from always asking questions, is that you get to learn a lot and share that with the world. Besides profiling people and organizations, I enjoy writing about science research and innovation. My science and medical background enable me to provide easy to read articles on some of the groundbreaking work being done today. I am also fluent (oral and written) in Spanish. In my spare time I reviews essays and resumes for college students, playing soccer and reading about leadership. I'm curious by nature and always on the lookout for the next best story. The way I see it, every story has the potential to be the start of two or more future stories.
