Bio (click to expand) As a staff reporter-turned-freelance journalist, Anna Pratt, who lives in Minneapolis, Minn., has ventured into garbage houses, spent the night in a homeless shelter and witnessed a fistfight in a church basement, all for various stories. Her byline has appeared in the Star Tribune, The Line, the Southwest Journal, the Minnesota Independent and several suburban and community papers, web publications and broadcast media in the Twin Cities. Pratt is active with the Society of Professional Journalists' freelance community and she serves as the treasurer for the award-winning Minnesota Pro Chapter of SPJ.

A native Chicagoan and print journalist for 20 years, Vladimire Herard writes about pharmaceutical industry issues and senior long-term care for Pharm Psych.com and once freelanced for the National Senior Living Providers Network, (nslpn.com), the Guidance Channel.com and Longtermcare.com. Under the newsletter chain CD Publications, Ms. Herard wrote about senior health, substance abuse prevention, and elderly housing for Aging News Alert, Housing the Elderly Report and Substance Abuse Funding News. Under the newsletter chain Inside Washington Publishers, she covered health care financing for Inside HCFA and food and product safety issues for FDAWeek. Ms. Herard also covered education, crime, county affairs and community development for daily newspapers Chicago Defender, Syracuse Post-Standard, Syracuse Herald-American, the monthly Pride of Syracuse and the wire service States News Service.
