Patrick Wall is a writer and editor who lives in Charlotte, N.C.
Patrick is a graduate of the University of South Carolina’s School of Journalism and Mass Communications, with a B.A. in journalism, where he was managing editor of the Carolina Reporter student newspaper. He is a member of the Association of Alternative Newsmedia, the American Copy Editors Society and the Society of Professional journalists.
From July 2006 to January 2014, Patrick was music editor of Free Times, an alternative newsweekly based in Columbia, S.C.; he was also managing editor of the newspaper's college sports publication The Side Lide. In his seven years at Free Times, he won five feature writing awards from the South Carolina Press Association.
Currently, his work can also typically be found in the Asheville's Mountain Xpress, Charleston City Paper, Charlotte's Creative Loafing, Charlottesville's C-Ville, Columbia's Free Times, Dusted, and at drawerb.com.
In his free time, Patrick plays guitar in rock ‘n’ roll bands, plays defense on beer-league hockey teams, and watches as much baseball as he can.
