My name is Sam Radwany — I’m a media producer, journalist and broadcaster based out of Minneapolis, Minnesota.

Although I’m new to Minnesota, I was born and raised a midwesterner in Akron, Ohio. College took me to the George Washington University in D.C. where I studied Journalism and Mass Communication.

After graduation, I got to work at Sirius XM listening to a ton of music, meeting some amazing people and producing great radio. I even helped launch and produce a new suite of Latin music channels, from mariachi to merengue and beyond. Three years later, I made the move to Minnesota to work as a freelance journalist and media producer.

Since moving to Minneapolis, I’ve been moving my career more towards writing, journalism and storytelling. First, I started writing for an up-and-coming music blog based out of Washington, DC. I’ve also been writing radio newscasts and web stories for Bring Me The News, a local news organization. Most recently, I’ve started producing 90 second radio pieces about Minnesota history for Ampers, a local public radio group. All of these organizations are providing me with a diverse, new skillset that I'm continuing to refine.

My passion for radio and storytelling first began at an internship with WKSU in Kent, Ohio. While archiving and transcribing historical tapes from the infamous May 5 shooting, I discovered the ghostly recordings of my own grandfather, a professor there at the time.

Ever since then, I’ve been hooked on finding and telling great stories, with high stakes, unexpected twists, fascinating characters and new insights about our own lives. If you share my enthusiasm, let’s get in touch and see what we can create together.
