Work has previously appeared: National Daily Newspaper, Daily Newspaper, National Magazine, Online Newsmagazine, Newsletter, Web Log, Book Publishing

I'm an experienced and versatile journalist, analyst and travel author working in Europe for the past 15 years, with a focus on coverage of Southeast Europe and the Balkans for a variety of major media.

This has included hundreds of articles and over 20 books, including many travel guides for Lonely Planet as well as stand-alone titles on travel, culture and security. I also run an independent specialist website (www.balkanalysis.com) and sometimes speak for US govt. agencies about diplomatic and security issues.

I have extensive experience additionally in editing, proposal writing, country promotion writing (for newspaper supplements and websites) and analysis for specialist subscriber services like the Economist Intelligence Unit and Jane's Intelligence Digest. I also work as a consultant for strategic analysis, due diligence and similar topics related to companies and events in the area where I work.

I am happy to hear from new publishers for projects large and small alike. I am an extremely reliable, conscientious and (I'm told!) nice author to work with, and promise high-quality results with strict adherence to deadline and any stipulated style or other concerns.
