As a young boy, I did not believe in Santa Claus.
Like most journalists, I looked at the world around me and I started to ask questions.
As my parents tried to tell me otherwise, I knew I was right about Santa Claus.
Unknowingly, that is when I became a journalist.
Even though I became a journalist later than most, I had most of what makes a solid, competent journalist. No matter where I’ve worked, I’ve had a strong work ethic. I took constructive criticism and I was willing to help others.
Since I made the decision to follow a dream, I’ve hit the ground running.
My work has appeared in The Nation, Chicago Magazine, DNAinfo.com Chicago, The Athletic,The Reader, Newsday,Crain’s Chicago Business,Ebony Magazine, Death and Taxes,Leading Lawyers,The Cauldron,Chicago Sun-Times,ChicagoSide,Chicago Citizen Newspaper Group, Peoria Journal Star,The Shadow League, Omaha World-Tribune,Thrillist, Thrillist Chicago,Red Eye, Fansided, Rockford Register Star,Chicago Reporter, Daily Herald,Huffington Post,Comcast SportsNet Chicago, Daily Southtown,The Checking Line, Gapers Block, The Hockey Writers, Extra Bilingual Newspaper, Chicago Crusader, Midway Madness,Chicago Now, Time Out Chicago and Community Media Workshop’s We Are Not Alone/No Estamos Solos Project on youth violence.
