I am a professional journalist with 30 years of experience. I have worked for daily newspapers full-time as a sportswriter and have been involved with magazine and book projects as well as websites.
As a free lancer, I've had regular assignments with the Goshen News, Warsaw Times-Union and South Bend Tribune. I've contributed to Indiana Football Digest, the South Bend Cubs minor league baseball team's website and assisted Associated Press with Notre Dame football and basketball coverage.
I was the lead writer and researcher on Slicer Baseball, A Cut Above: The history of LaPorte High School baseball, a 240-page book which comes out in December 2016.
In 2000, I self-published Hitting and Hurling in the Heartland: A look at Indiana high school baseball.
I have received many state awards for coverage of baseball and wrestling and was part of a team that won a national award for a website covering wrestling.
In my career, I have written about more than 50 different sports.
I am a longtime member of Society for American Baseball Research.
In January 2017, I launched a baseball blog - www.IndianaRBI.com - and covered many diamond topics around the state.
