Work has previously appeared: Unpublished, Daily Newspaper, Community Newspaper, Local/Regional Magazine, Online Newsmagazine, Newsletter

I'm a graduating senior at California State University, Northridge, majoring in journalism/PR, minoring in English (writing and rhetoric), with a collateral field in Middle Eastern Studies.

I was born and raised in Germany, moved to San Francisco in 2011 and to Los Angeles in 2015. I've traveled many parts of Europe, Southeast Asia and East Asia and would assert to be quite cultured. I worked in the startup environment of the Silicon Valley in education technology, biotechnology, community building and housing. Even though I've been mostly working in PR and communications, I'm passionate about writing and journalistic work. Particularly, I would like to cover issues in the Middle East, the current refugee crisis, human rights and social justice issues.

After graduation, I’d like to leverage my skills to advocate for disadvantaged individuals and communities in need of a voice. I am convinced that awareness is a fundamental stepping stone of social change, which is why I aspire to be part of informing people about undervalued issues.
