Julianna Thibodeaux is a freelance journalist, critic, literary writer, editor, and creative writing teacher based in the greater Boston area. She is the recipient of several first-place awards from the Society of Professional Journalists, a grant from the Marblehead Cultural Council in Massachusetts, a Creative Renewal Fellowship from the Arts Council of Indianapolis, and an Individual Artist Grant from the Indiana Arts Commission.
Prior to her family’s relocation from Indianapolis, she served as senior writer and art critic for NUVO Newsweekly for more than ten years and also wrote for its subsidiary, Indiana Living Green. She holds an MFA from Goddard College in Vermont and a BA in Journalism from Indiana University-Bloomington.
In 2015 she founded Marblehead Writers’ Workshop which offers classes and workshops in locations around the North Shore.
