Imari Scarbrough
Specializes in: Arts, Business, Education, Government, Photography, Profiles, Crime, Music, Local and regional economic development
I joined a weekly community newspaper in 2012 and worked there for five years until 2017, when I became a freelance journalist.
Since I was the only staff writer during much of my time there, I learned to cover most beats, but my fortes are crime, local and regional government, local and regional economic development, education and feature profiles. My work was published in several other company newspapers an an online magazine while I was there.
I also had work appear in the spring 2014 issue of the Florida English Journal published through the Florida Council of Teachers of English.
