Work has previously appeared: Daily Newspaper, Local/Regional Magazine, Local Television, National Radio, Local Radio, Online Newsmagazine

I am a journalist/photojournalist who tends to focus on religion (I am Jewish but also write about other religious beliefs as well), as well as the personal stories of individuals.

I have degrees in philosophy, writing, and extensive work in comparative religion.

As an aside, I write under the following names: Steven Cottingham in my local area. It is also the name I am on local radio with.

Other names: Steven Zimmerman and Yitzhak ben Moshe.

My motto is that in order to understand a society we must first understand their religious beliefs and the stories of their elders.

Lastly, I tend to include either audio or video with each of my stories, if they are to appear on a web platform. I feel that including this component enhances the story and the reader's connection to the subject.
