Work has previously appeared: Daily Newspaper, National Magazine, Regional Magazine, Weekly Business Magazine, Book Publishing

One of the nation's few female voices in Op-ed, for the past two years I've been writing a monthly Opinion column for the nation's seventh largest newspaper -- Newsday. Occasionally I also contribute to the New York Times' Op-ed pages. Topics are wide-ranging, and subject to my discretion. Additionally, I write parenting features and advice-driven features for Newsday. And I'm managing editor of a regional bridal magazine. My first non-fiction book, The Neighborhoods of Queens, has just been released by Yale University Press to great accolades from the press, including a glowing recommendation from The New York Times. I have excellent research skills, honed for the past 15 years, and a passion for whatever assignment I am working on at the moment.
