Blaes Communications Consulting, LLC was founded in 2011 by Valarie Blaes to help architects, engineers, construction companies, facilities management and other professional services industry clients not only achieve but exceed their marketing goals.

Having worked in A/E/C companies’ marketing departments for over 25 years, Ms. Blaes has a keen understanding of the in’s and out’s of these professional services industries. This makes Blaes Communications Consulting, LLC uniquely qualified to provide A/E/C firms with services including RFP management, coordination and writing for state, local and federal government submissions, among others.

Blaes Communications Consulting, LLC is certified by the Commonwealth of Virginia as a small, micro and woman-owned, full-service marketing communications consulting company (Certification Number 700864).

In addition to working with A/E/C and other professional services firms, Blaes Communications Consulting, LLC has partnered with other marketing and advertising agencies to provide marketing consulting services including copy writing, content writing, content strategy, proofreading and editing on an as-needed basis.
Ms. Blaes has a Bachelor of Arts in English with a Journalism emphasis and a minor in Speech Communication from Old Dominion University, and holds the distinction of being an Adobe Certified Associate CS3 – Web Communication using Adobe Dreamweaver. She is also an award-winning writer, having won first place in the Daily Press’s, “Not Ready To Bag It Yet” feature story writing content (May 2006).

Ms. Blaes is a member of the Association of Proposal Management Professionals (APMP); an Affiliate Member of the Virginia Society of Healthcare Engineers; and The Society of Professional Journalists (SPJ).
