Janet Rae-Dupree is the sole proprietor of Unboxed Media, a freelance writing and editing service focused on innovation, emerging technology, health/medicine, science and -- most recently -- travel writing. Before launching Unboxed Media, Rae-Dupree was an award-winning journalist on staff at several newspapers and magazines, including the San Jose Mercury News, U.S. News & World Report, BusinessWeek, and the Los Angeles Times, where she shared in a team Pulitzer Prize in 1993. A 2006 Knight Fellow at Stanford University, she created the monthly "Unboxed" column for the Sunday Business section of the New York Times and has freelanced for numerous publications. Author of "The Anatomy & Physiology Workbook for Dummies," Rae-Dupree specializes in clarifying complex science, health and medical issues for lay audiences.
