I am a veteran journalist with four decades of experience reporting and editing and a wide range of interests. My work benefits from great diligence and clear thinking. I graduated Phi Beta Kappa from Georgetown University and earned a graduate degree in journalism from Penn State University. I filled many roles during 25 years at The Times Herald-Record, a regional newspaper in the Hudson Valley, finishing up as acting editor. I left to get a law degree and worked for several years at the Manhattan District Attorneys Office. I was the executive editor of the New York Law Journal, a daily paper cover New Yorks legal community, for 11 years. In addition to freelancing, I now representing indigent criminal defendants on appeal.
