Bio (click to expand) As a staff reporter-turned-freelance journalist, Anna Pratt, who lives in Minneapolis, Minn., has ventured into garbage houses, spent the night in a homeless shelter and witnessed a fistfight in a church basement, all for various stories. Her byline has appeared in the Star Tribune, The Line, the Southwest Journal, the Minnesota Independent and several suburban and community papers, web publications and broadcast media in the Twin Cities. Pratt is active with the Society of Professional Journalists' freelance community and she serves as the treasurer for the award-winning Minnesota Pro Chapter of SPJ.

Hayley Day was born in Cincinnati in 1986 as the only child of John and Karen Day where she lived in the suburb of Mason her whole life. While writing always sparked an interest in Hayley, it wasn’t until she joined her high school newspaper that her interest in journalism was ignited. Graduation led this avid writer to Miami University in Oxford, Ohio where she is a junior majoring in journalism and women studies with a 3.0 cumulative GPA. Accomplishments in her field so far include various internships at local weekly newspapers The Pulse Journal and The Western Star as well as local dailies The Hamilton Journal News and Springfield News-Sun. She was also features editor for her college newspaper, The Miami Student, for over a year. In the future Hayley hopes for a career at a prominent newspaper in a major city. Along with writing, Hayley also enjoys reading, especially books involving feminist critics, and exercising. While Hayley has written many specified local features, national trend stories are both her favorite to conceptualize and write.
