Stephen Beals has been writing for print and online publications for more than 12 years with several hundred articles in print. He has written white papers for several technology firms including Scitex, Xerox, Presstek and Pantone. He has appeared as a speaker or moderator for many conferences and educational seminars. He is currently writing a Contributing Editor for Graphic Arts Monthly, a Contributing Writer to the Seybold Report, Workflow columnist for The Big Picture Magazine, and Q&A specialist for Print Buyer Online. He has also written for Screen Printing, Printing News, Innes Publications and many others. He has created courses for Prepress Training Solutions. He is author of "A Practical Primer for Painless Print Production. Specialties include workflow, color management, PDF, RIP output devices, printers and scanners, digital presses, inkjet printers, Photoshop, InDesign, and Adobe Acrobat. He has also written, produced and directed many murder mystery musical comedy interactive murder mysteries. He is a licensed lay minister in the Presbyterian Church and is working on his MDiv at Earlham School of Religion. He is the father of two grown daughters and lives with his wife, Karen in Seneca Falls NY. Karen is Executive Director of the Seneca County (NY) United Way.
