Ann is an award-winning senior-level technology trade journalist experienced in writing for design engineers and managers on mostly hardware topics. These include manufacturing- and electronics-related technologies, especially industrial-strength 3D printing (the kind that can build entire airplane wing structures and rocket engines). She’s covered manufacturing materials & processes, alternative energy and robotics, plus machine vision and all kinds of communications tech.

She established Design News’ coverage of industrial and B2B 3D printing and additive manufacturing (AM), and developed RTC’s first coverage of RFID and EE Times’ first coverage of software-defined radio. Ann’s DisplayPort 9-18-08 cover article led all other EDN articles in page views and unique visits for the week after it was first posted, and continued to rank among EDN's top stories of all time. At EBN, she introduced purchasing managers to wireless communications technology, and won two independently-judged CMP Media Excellence in Editorial Awards for Best Technology Feature. Publications with her byline include Design News, EE Times, EDN, Test & Measurement World, RTC Magazine, COTS Journal, Nikkei Electronics Asia, Electronic Buyers’ News, and Computer Design.

Ann is also a senior-level communications professional with over 20 years’ experience in technical marketing and business communications, ghostwriting and editing several types of short-form and long-form content to meet client or publication standards. She has assisted in researching and/or writing market research reports for In-Stat and Evans Data.
