I have been published professionally in newspapers, magazines and reference books for more than 20 years and now own and publish my own hyperlocal community news website, The Barbary Coast News. It covers news and features in the northeast waterfront area of San Francisco. I also was a food and drink writer for Phoenix Magazine for five years, and prior to that, I covered arts, entertainment and dining for The Arizona Republic for three years and was a features writer and wine columnist for the East Valley/Scottsdale Tribune for three years. I have a BA in journalism and an MA in communications from Wayne State University, Detroit, MI.
