I am a Sacramento, Calif.-based freelance journalist who specializes in religion, travel, features and business. I have five years daily newspaper experience covering religion, city hall and education in California. My freelance stories have appeared in Sunset, VIA, Sactown, Publishers Weekly, Beliefnet.com and the San Diego Union-Tribune, among others. I have a bachelor’s in history from Bryn Mawr College, a master’s in journalism from Stanford and a certificate of theological studies from Pacific School of Religion in Berkeley, Calif. I also have received two journalism fellowships.
