Work has previously appeared: Daily Newspaper

I'm currently a college freshman from Detroit, Mi. I attend Central Michigan University in Mt. Pleasant, MI. I have worked for the Detroit Free Press as a high school intern and I am currently a news reporter for the Central Michigan Life whis is CMU's thrice-weekly independent publication. Ultimately I would like to become a features reporter. I believe that working in news will help me become a better features reporter, because with news you have to learn how to get out there and get dirty, find your sources, make them talk if they won't talk to you, as well as come up with alternative approaches to topics, all of which I know would help in the Features Dept.
