Bio (click to expand) As a staff reporter-turned-freelance journalist, Anna Pratt, who lives in Minneapolis, Minn., has ventured into garbage houses, spent the night in a homeless shelter and witnessed a fistfight in a church basement, all for various stories. Her byline has appeared in the Star Tribune, The Line, the Southwest Journal, the Minnesota Independent and several suburban and community papers, web publications and broadcast media in the Twin Cities. Pratt is active with the Society of Professional Journalists' freelance community and she serves as the treasurer for the award-winning Minnesota Pro Chapter of SPJ.

I write weekly features, theater and art reviews, and a column titled "My Generation" aimed at Baby Boomers for "Shore Publishing Community Newspapers" on the CT shoreline. I write food stories, features on the arts, books, people, fundraisers, etc. for "The Day"— Southeastern CT's biggest daily newspaper. I write features for a variety of regional magazines. I'm available to write press releases, newsletters, brochures, web copy, and public service announcements for businesses and not-for profit clients. I edit books, manuscripts, articles. I have a published award-winning children's book, "A Child's Grief Journey." I'm a professional member of the CT Critics Circle. I have received more than a dozen first and second place awards from the CT Chapter of the Society of Professional Journalists. I'm also a certified expressive art & writing educator. I graduated from University of Hartford cum laude in 1978 as an English literature major, mass communications minor. I have worked as a writer/editor/journalist for the past 35 years.
