Bio (click to expand) As a staff reporter-turned-freelance journalist, Anna Pratt, who lives in Minneapolis, Minn., has ventured into garbage houses, spent the night in a homeless shelter and witnessed a fistfight in a church basement, all for various stories. Her byline has appeared in the Star Tribune, The Line, the Southwest Journal, the Minnesota Independent and several suburban and community papers, web publications and broadcast media in the Twin Cities. Pratt is active with the Society of Professional Journalists' freelance community and she serves as the treasurer for the award-winning Minnesota Pro Chapter of SPJ.

I write weekly features, theater and art reviews, and a parenting column for "Shore Publishing Community Newspapers" on the CT shoreline and the Times Weeklies in Southeastern CT. I write food stories for "The Day"-- New London daily newspaper. I write regular features for "Elan" magazine, a CT publication. I write press releases, newsletters, magazine articles, and public service announcements for a variety of business and not-for profit clients/ I have a published award-winning children's book, "A Child's Grief Journey" and I'm working on a novel. I am a professional member of the CT Critics Circle. I have received more than a dozen first and second place awards from the CT Chapter of the Society of Professional Journalists. I graduated from University of Hartford cum laude in 1978 as an English major, mass communications minor. I have worked as a writer/editor/journalist for the past 30 years.
