I'm a reporter, writer and Web geek who covers politics, technology, urban policy, and, occasionally, spot news. I currently work for Personal Democracy Forum, the folks behind techPresident. I've won a small handful of awards during my career so far. Most recently, I and the staff at The Riverdale Press won first place for breaking news in the Suburban Newspapers of America's contest for 2009. I led our coverage of an alleged plot to blow up two Bronx synagogues, which the FBI says it followed for over a year, then foiled in our readers' backyard.
As of January 2010, I am a member of the executive board of the Deadline Club, New York's chapter of the Society of Professional Journalists.
New York University is my alma mater. I graduated in 2007, magna cum laude, with a bachelor's in metropolitan studies and journalism.
I live in Brooklyn.
