Susan Chaityn Lebovits is a Boston-based writer whose assignments have involved everything from 32-guage steel acupuncture needles to a Krieghoff K-80 shotgun.
She’s spent her weekends fox hunting in the fields (Boston Globe) and on Broadway, backstage with the cast of Billy Joel and Twlya Tharp’s “Movin’ Out” (Self Magazine).
No assignment is too small, quirky or too serious; from ice diving in Cape Cod (Boston Globe Living/Arts); disseminating the taste and culture of American Caviar (Boston Globe/ Food); recounting an escape from the civil war in Sierra Leone Africa; and spending the day with an MIT professor dying of cancer (Boston Globe/West).
A graduate of Syracuse University, Susan worked as an art director and copywriter in New York City for McCann-Erickson Worldwide, Backer Spielvogel Bates, and Ogilvy & Mather Direct in both Manhattan and Frankfurt, Germany where she lived for three years.
Also a certified personal trainer, she wrote FITfactor, a monthly column in FIT magazine.
Presently she writes a weekly column for the Boston Globe.
