Work has previously appeared: Daily Newspaper, Local/Regional Magazine

For about a year, I wrote about fashion, fine dining and other things that don't matter to me for a magazine called 008. Over the past two years I have been writing and editing for my college newspaper "The Vermilion." I primarily write general news and features and am also the music columnist. My writing style is young, hip and feisty. College press is amazing because I think it's the last truly free news organization that exists. I'll be graduating this May (2008) and will be looking for freelance writing opportunities with anyone who will let me discuss music, education, issues in diversity or anything else that could enlighten or inspire potential readers. I will, however, sell my soul to Home and Garden if necessary. After all, this is a rough field and the bills "gotta get paid." P.S. I don't have any online links to my work, but if this happened to spark your curiosity, please e-mail me. I have hundreds of writing samples...
